What does digitalisation mean for nursing care?
Digitalisation in nursing care means the targeted use of digital technologies to make care processes more efficient, more transparent and of higher quality. This includes electronic care records, digital documentation systems, telemedicine, assistive systems and smart applications that support people in need of care in their daily lives. These digital solutions relieve nursing staff of bureaucratic tasks, foster interdisciplinary collaboration and improve the safety of care. At the same time, digitalisation enables better use of data for quality assurance and individual support. Particularly in view of demographic change and the shortage of skilled workers, it offers great potential for sustainable, people-centred care.
Topics we cover
Digital care in everyday life, clearly explained
Nursing care is essential to society, and digitalisation can revolutionise it. We talk to the people it really affects and make digital care tangible, with real stories from practice.
Innovation & best practice first-hand
We bring together the people who really shape care: nurses who use digital solutions, start-ups with bold ideas and decision-makers who want to make a difference. The result is a realistic view of what digital innovation in care can achieve, today and tomorrow.
Sustainable care with technology
How can digitalisation help to conserve resources, relieve nursing staff and secure care in the long term? We show that digital care can also be smart and sustainable, and why this is crucial for the future.
Discussions that change care
Data protection, funding or acceptance: we talk openly about opportunities and obstacles. With inspiring voices, critical questions and honest exchange, so that digital care becomes not just possible but practical.
