About ePrivacy:

ePrivacy was founded more than 14 years ago by Prof. Bauer and Dr. Eickmeier. Christoph Bauer worked for 20 years in the media industry in finance/controlling and as CFO and COO at well-known companies such as Bertelsmann and AOL, most recently as CFO/COO of wunderloop. At wunderloop, he also built up the data protection function and advanced behavioural targeting. Christoph Bauer was accredited as an assessor for data protection seals (BDSG, old version) by the Independent Centre for Privacy Protection in Kiel (ULD), is also an accredited auditor for ISO 27001/information security management and teaches as a professor at the HSBA (Hamburg School of Business Administration) in finance, media management and entrepreneurship. Dr. Frank Eickmeier has been a lawyer since 1997 and is a partner at the IT/IP law firm Unverzagt, working in particular in new media law. With his team, Frank Eickmeier advises well-known online marketers, targeting providers, media agencies, content producers and Web 2.0 platforms on the classic questions of the online world.

External data protection officer:

ePrivacy supports 350+ companies across Europe from a wide range of sectors as external data protection officer for the EU and UK, from start-ups to corporate groups with the most diverse requirements. Under the GDPR, the role of data protection officer was introduced throughout Europe. ePrivacy develops pragmatic data protection solutions tailored to the needs of its clients. ePrivacy's consulting approach combines personal expert support with automation.

AI consulting:

ePrivacy advises companies on the use of AI by implementing AI policies. To this end, information is collected on the use of individual AI tools and how they are used within the organisation. The aim is to assess whether a tool falls within the scope of the AI Act and to determine the legal obligations that apply.

Information security officer:

ePrivacy monitors and coordinates all security-related processes, including drawing up and implementing security concepts and investigating security incidents.

Whistleblowing system:

ePrivacy takes on the tasks of the internal reporting office under Section 13 HinSchG (German Whistleblower Protection Act) and offers the external service of an ombudsperson. As part of this, ePrivacy sets up a whistleblowing system within the company, including reporting channels and the necessary software.
